The mission of this Blog is to achieve translation of text of the Voynich Manuscript (VMS), MS 408 of the Beinecke Rare book and MS library of Yale University, through observation, research, hard work and collaboration.
The VMS is handwritten between 1404 and 1438 (carbon-dated with 95% probability in 2009), so the first half of the 15th century.
“In the galaxy of languages, each word is a star“
The manuscript has the size of 230 mm (height) x 160 mm (width) x 50mm (thick) with some fold-outs that are larger. For reference: we now use the paper size A4, which is 297mm x 210 mm. So the manuscript is quite small. Read here how difficult it is to crack the code.
